Rev. Don Southworth & Worship Associate: Christine Amabile

ERUUF, like UU congregations around the country, is sending in feedback on how, or if, the seven principles and six sources can be improved. This morning I will propose a seventh source concerning something we all knew how to be in kindergarten, and most of us forgot by sixth grade – how to be creative.

5:42-26:52 Sermon - Rev. Don Southworth

They Didn’t Come From Nowhere

Greg Greenway &
Rev. Don Southworth

History centers on the large stories of those few that were privileged to be at the flash point of change – pivotal moments in time. Martin Luther King, Jr., Rosa Parks are names we know. But, like water dripping on stone, the countless millions of positive actions taken by generations of people whose faces we will never see made such moments possible. Come and hear about one such man this morning.

(We welcome Greg Greenway back to ERUUF. Greg is a well-traveled and much honored folk singer and entertainer who will sing and preach for us.)

Dare To Dream

Sunday, January 13th, 2008

2008-01-13
Rev. Mary Grigolia & Worship Associate: Paula Womack

In honor of Martin Luther King, Jr.’s birthday, Mary Grigolia will explore a dream of how a new kind of religion is called to bridge the gap in our polarized society and inspire us to dream a new dream for the benefit of the planet and all her children. Is Unitarian Universalism that kind of religion?

This is Mary’s last Sunday at ERUUF, and a peek at what’s calling her out into the broader world. It’s also Generosity Sunday: Our offering will support the North Carolina Religious Coalition for Marriage Equality (NCRC4ME), an interfaith voice for civil rights for gays and lesbians, who are especially vulnerable in this election year. ERUUF was instrumental in the founding and work of the coalition, which coordinates the voices and efforts of 300 ordained clergy from a broad faith spectrum throughout North Carolina.
